This thesis explores the delivery of survivorship care for individuals who have undergone an allogeneic haemopoietic stem cell transplantation (alloHSCT) in Australia.
This study explored the optimal long-term care of individuals who have survived alloHSCT. Emphasis was placed on delivering quality health care, within the Australian health system and in response to consumer feedback.
This study provides a unique Australian in-depth study of the diagnosis and risks to chronic health conditions and influences on health-related quality of life for individuals surviving alloHSCT. It concluded that delivering care after alloHSCT without reference to the Australian health care system and without incorporating stakeholder feedback exposes risks to providing quality health care.
