Developing CRISPR-based Perturbation Platforms for Identifying Regulators of Human Trophoblast Differentiation

This thesis identified new roles for genes that affect the development of cells in the human placenta. It uncovers findings that could help understand the cause of complications during pregnancy which could potentially lead to treatments for these diseases.
