Designing for Participatory Data Governance

thesis
posted on 2025-06-25, 08:39 authored by Pranav Kulkarni
This research explores approaches to involving research participants in decisions about their data, its management and governance. Through exploring two different research contexts, one considering small-scale participant collected data and the other large-scale researcher collected data, it provides insights that illustrate how communities can be more involved and be given more control over their data. It presents a participatory data governance framework that can assist future research in engaging participants in data decisions throughout the research process.
