Foot drop is one of the conditions suffered by post-stroke patient. It inhibits the patient performing basic daily activities, such as walking. The conventional rehabilitation approach is laborious, time-consuming and costly. This thesis proposed the use of ankle rehabilitation robot that uses Shape Memory Alloy wire to provide active and passive rehabilitation exercises.
