Demonstrating, Disseminating, and Directing Economic Evaluations for Health Professions Education Research

thesis
posted on 2021-02-02, 22:38 authored by JONATHAN SHI EN FOO
Ensuring our health workforce have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide safe and effective care is resource intensive, yet little attention has been given to ensuring the economic sustainability and efficiency of the education system. This thesis draws on concepts from education and health economics to demonstrate rigorous methods for measuring and communicating the economic efficiency of health workforce training. This helps guide educators toward doing more of what matters, and less of what does not, in training our health professional workforce.
