To address the challenges associated with miRNA therapy in ischemic stroke, including low in vivo stability and possible side effects, a delivery strategy is required for localised and controlled released of this gene-based therapeutic. This project focussed on utilising β-peptide derived materials to provide protection and sustained release to facilitate the therapeutic efficacy of miRNA in ischemic stroke.
