This study utilised novel proteomics approaches to identify signalling pathways involved in prostate cancer progression, and define relative contribution of proteins from cancer cells and the surrounding tumour microenvironment. Understanding this intercellular communication is essential to discover new biomarkers and therapeutic approaches to improve clinical management of prostate cancer patients.
