Achilles tendinopathy is a common tendon overuse condition that is characterised by persistent tendon load-related pain and dysfunction. Calf loading exercises is the most accepted intervention. But there is a limited understanding of the exercise parameters that may confer greatest benefit. Therefore, the main component of this thesis is the feasibility and pilot randomised trial that aims to investigate the efficacy of four gym-based calf loading exercises, with different parameters, involving weekly telehealth monitoring session for individuals with mid-portion Achilles tendinopathy to manage pain and function, over 12 weeks.
