This thesis describes studies of novel cyclic peptide nanomaterials. Specifically, this work explores different approaches to the construction of organic nanotubes using reversible and irreversible binding of peptide building-blocks. Structural characterisation of these nanomaterials was achieved using a wide range of experimental and theoretical methods. The findings presented in this thesis will further the development of peptide nanomaterials into complex, functional biomaterials.
