Crafting to Thrive: A Self-Determination Perspective

I investigated self-initiated, proactive behaviours across different life domains in the form of crafting one’s job, leisure, and work-life balance activities, in terms of their contribution to thriving. Taking a holistic approach to understanding thriving, and in line with self-determination theory, the findings of my study provide important insights for how crafting behaviour, in particular work-life balance crafting, influences individual thriving, via satisfaction of basic human needs.
