With the growing demand for customised products and sustainable solutions, metal 3D-printing technology has altered how companies produce nearly everything. The nature of the process generates materials with distinct properties from traditional manufacturing methods. In this project, the corrosion properties of 3D-printed 316L stainless steel were evaluated in detail. Due to its excellent durability, this material has been widely used in several critical applications for several decades, such as bio-implants. Therefore, understanding the impact of 3D printing on the properties becomes crucial to minimise failures. The findings herein may assist in its future implementation.
