Cooperative Indoor Localisation for Wearable IoT Applications

thesis
posted on 2022-03-20, 23:28 authored by MD ABDULLA AL MAMUN
Indoor localisation empowers numerous services towards the recent Internet of Things (IoT) applications. However, standalone localisation solutions suffer from various limitations including lower accuracy and higher cost. This thesis addresses the issues of inertial measurement unit (IMU)-based pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR) and received signal strength indicator (RSSI)-based fingerprinting solutions. Finally, a cooperative localisation framework is proposed that follows a coarse-to-fine localisation approach to achieve high accuracy location estimates with low system latency.
