Control of Islanded LVDC Networks Comprising Distributed Generators and Loads

This research project studies: 1) control and operation of islanded DC Microgrids (MG) including simultaneous Load Sharing (LS) and voltage regulation (VR) through a decentralised control method, 2) energy management and applications of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in islanded DC MGs, 3) integration of DC MGs into the AC network, and 4) power balance in hybrid AC/DC MGs.
