The evolution of smart mobile devices has significantly impacted the way people access and share contents. Existing content sharing schemes require an Internet connection to be always available. However, many places lack Internet connectivity and Internet traffic is also increasing at a rapid speed. Therefore, to alleviate the requirement of having such a persistent connection, this thesis presents novel decentralized content sharing techniques, specifically targeting tourist spot type scenario where visitors can communicate among themselves using their smart mobile devices and collaboratively share contents. Employing such a scheme will effectively enhance tourism experience and reduce data communication cost.
