Internet of things (IoT) aims to connect everything through the Internet and has been implemented in various environments such as healthcare, agriculture, transportation, human-machine interaction (HMI) and remote monitoring. It facilitates systems to become autonomous, economical, reliable, and accurate. Among the application fields, contact or contactless sensors play a significant role in the realm of IoT. This research investigating different sensor technologies that can be implemented in real-time applications to serve users and the society.
