Component-resolved evaluation of allergen sensitization and immunotherapy for respiratory allergic diseases

thesis
posted on 2025-01-30, 22:19 authored by Lin Hsin
The thesis focused on improving allergy diagnosis and treatment for patients with atopic asthma and allergic rhinitis. It developed and refined a diagnostic tool, namely CytoBas, which can accurately detect allergies to different particles, including house dust mites, pollen, pet dander, and more in a single test. This could help doctors tailor more effective treatments for patients. The research also explored how allergen immunotherapy, a specific treatment, affects immune memory, determining changes that offer long-lasting symptom relief. These findings contribute to more precise diagnoses and enhanced long-term disease managements, aiming to improve lives of millions worldwide who suffer from allergies.
