Competency Based Training for Mobilisation of the Critically Ill

This thesis examined the role of competency-based training methods for physiotherapists delivering exercise and rehabilitation interventions to critically ill patients. It makes several recommendations for improvements in guideline quality and consumer centred care and presents a novel assessment tool to guide education and training of physiotherapists working in intensive care.
