Clickable lipid-based nanoparticles for targeted theranostics

This thesis was undertaken to develop a novel drug carrier for diseases such as cancer which would exhibit better localised and controlled release of contents to improve treatment efficacy and reduce side effects. This involved using lipid-based nanotechnology and bioorthogonal chemistry together in an attempt to specifically target the tumor cells.
