thesis
posted on 2019-12-18, 00:27 authored by SANAZ NIKFALAZAR
This thesis addresses an important issue in city mobility research – how to evaluate a city’s mobility performance and mobility efficiency relative to other cities using objective data. This issue is addressed through a novel concept of supply and demand in city mobility with a hierarchy of objective indicators using various data science techniques. To address the missing data issue in a comprehensive city mobility database for ensuring the evaluation quality, an effective and robust imputation method is developed. These developments represent original contributions to city mobility research and to missing data imputation research with both methodological and practical significance.
