The thesis examines how ethnic Chinese Indonesian youth draw on their diverse linguistic repertoires to construct stance and socially salient identities in their daily interactions at two educational institutions in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The thesis applies and expands on Blommaert and De Fina's chronotopic frame theory to produce a nuanced understanding of identity work in discourse.
