The three pseudokinases PEAK1, PEAK2 and the recently identified PEAK3 constitute the PEAK family. Both PEAK1 and PEAK2 function as scaffolds to regulate cell proliferation, migration and invasion. PEAK3 is a novel pseudokinase, whose signalling pathways and function remain poorly characterized. In this thesis, the role of PEAK1 in mammary gland development and PEAK3 signalling mechanisms and function were characterized.
