This study explored the sustainability and corporate social responsibility policies and practices of two businesses, IKEA and Ernst and Young (EY) global, and their Singapore branches, in order to develop a deep understanding of their work in this field. I investigated how they have developed and implemented their practices in recent decades, and how their leaders reflect elements of organisational learning processes in their business including cultural-historical activity theory, expansive learning at work and activity theory. The study concluded that IKEA and EY have provided global leadership in this field in their efforts to work towards a more sustainable future.
