Carbon-based electrodes for water electrolysis

thesis
posted on 2024-02-27, 23:08 authored by JEN HOW DARYL LEE
Water electrolysis enables the production of clean hydrogen fuel using renewable electricity. However, the current reliance on expensive and scarce materials like platinum and iridium as electrode materials poses sustainability challenges. This thesis investigates the use of cheap and abundant Victorian brown coal to develop carbon-based electrodes for water electrolysis, offering a more sustainable path to green hydrogen fuel production.
