With the rapid expansion of Multinational Companies (MNC) on a global scale, there is an increasing expectation for these corporations to adopt and implement Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices, particularly in developing countries such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This thesis examines what institutional pressures MNCs and their subsidiaries operating in the UAE are subject to, and how these pressures affect CSR decision-making, planning, strategy, and implementation.
