The central theme of connectedness emerged as an important from the data, highlighting three key areas to address to ensure the development of a culturally relevant field education curriculum. These are: connecting global-local issues; connecting global-local policies and standards; connecting universities and local communities; and connecting contemporary and local teaching and learning approaches.
