Building a Framework of Australian Adaptive Behaviour
thesis

Adaptive behaviour can be considered as the skills that an individual requires to meet personal needs and to be able to cope with the social and natural demands in their environment. Currently, from a cultural and linguistic perspective, the current assessments of adaptive behaviour in Australia are arguably inappropriate. Given the importance of adaptive behaviour for treatment planning and access to funding, this thesis aims to evaluate adaptive behaviour for children aged two to seven years old within an Australian context and develop a pilot framework for potential clinical use.
