Getting to the end of the AIDS epidemic by 2030 is projected. However, without equitable health access, this projection may not be realised. Given the rising international migration, the HIV response should ensure that migrants have equitable health access in all countries. This thesis identified that migrants in Australia and Botswana are lagging behind in HIV testing and treatment services. Exclusion of migrants and other vulnerable population groups may hinder the progress towards reducing AIDS by 2030. A shift in national health policies to ensure migrants have access to affordable HIV prevention and treatment services is called upon.
