This research explores the resources for the professional development of Bangladeshi English language teachers. The study has drawn on the theoretical framework of actiotope model in which the individual and environment dependent resources are termed as educational capitals and learning capitals respectively. This mixed methods research involved survey and focus group discussions to explore Bangladeshi teachers’ learning resources. The findings reveal that Bangladeshi English teachers are rich in cultural, didactic and attentional resources but they have poor economic, social and infrastructural resources. The study concluded with a set of recommendations for addressing the professional development needs of those teachers.
