The purpose of this graduation thesis is to identify and categorize features of bilingual creativity in Saudi English, which are the result of the speaker’s/writer’s competence in two languages, Arabic and English and to discover the cultural conceptualisations (i.e., cultural schema, cultural metaphor, and cultural category) that may lie behind these novel patterns of expression. Data for this study were collected from stand-up comedy performances, focus groups, newspaper articles, face-to-face interviews, and questionnaires. The results suggested that Saudi English bilingual creativity can be divided into six categories in which Saudi cultural conceptualisations were deeply embedded.
