Augmenting Design: Introducing Systems of Concept Generation into Practice

thesis
posted on 2021-12-01, 03:04 authored by ANDREW PETER BURNS
The thesis explores the integration of systems of concept generation into architectural practice. This is undertaken through two allied streams of research: the development of tools to assist designing, applying these to projects within the author's architectural practice, and a discourse analysis of established theories and methodologies of designing, with a particular focus on the Design Methods movement of the 1960s-70s.
