Discovery of protein components from snake venom with antibacterial properties that are comparable to commercial antibiotics. The research focused on efficacy of the isolated protein in combating infections caused by resistant bacterial strains. The components show potential as an alternative source for the treatment of infectious disease and dermatological infections.
