This thesis employs a Fragment-based drug discovery study in search of higher affinity strain-transcending analogues targeted against an important binding region crucial to the invasion of human erythrocytes and hepatocytes during malarial infection. This thesis also developed covalent binding molecules targeting specific regions of the protein AMA1 in search of structural information.
