This thesis describes the anatomic distribution of cutaneous melanoma in detail, examining its relationship with patient characteristics, histologic subtype and thickness. It also describes the anatomic distribution, phenotypic factors and patient survival outcomes associated with clinically amelanotic or hypomelanotic melanoma.
