An investigation into the association of pre- and post-migration experiences on self-rated health among new humanitarian refugees to Australia: a mixed methods longitudinal study

Refugees are at an increased risk of poor health outcomes, which may result from the process and specific circumstances of migration. However, the ways in which migration experiences shape the health of refugees is not well understood. This thesis examines the influence of migration experiences upon the long-term health of adult refugees during resettlement in Australia. Such information is important to help resettlement nations design services that best meet the needs of refugees.
