Alkaline earth and lanthanoid complexes of sterically encumbering amidinate and amide ligands

thesis
posted on 2019-03-20, 04:00 authored by CASPAR NATANIEL DOUGLAS DE BRUIN-DICKASON
This thesis discusses the synthesis of new alkaline earth complexes with large donating ligands that prevent the re-arrangement chemistry common for these elements. These ligands have enabled the synthesis of highly reactive strontium hydride complexes as well as asymmetric magnesium hydride complexes, expanding the scope of alkaline earth hydride chemistry.
