Advanced Separators in Electrochemical Energy Storage Systems

thesis
posted on 2022-09-20, 23:58 authored by EHSAN GHASEMIESTAHBANATI
This dissertation provides material and membrane solutions to tackle the common crossover contamination across battery separators. We believe that the porous, acid/base resistant, and functionalizable structure of the proposed porous materials and polymers indicate a new pathway for more investigation of such advanced energy materials towards further commercial adoption of next-generation battery technologies depend less on critical battery materials. This can eventually lead to higher utilization and reliability of renewables so as to mitigate carbon emissions and global warming.
