Infertility is a global health issue that impacts over 70 million couples per year, with male factors infertility being solely responsible for 30% of the infertility cases. Here, we explored the possibilities that acoustic-based microfluidic systems could offer in semen preparation, an essential procedure in assisted reproductive technologies. In this thesis, three systems have been developed to perform sperm selection, treatment, and analysis, covering necessary elements for semen preparation.
