Achieving hepatitis C elimination is highly feasible among gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men in Australia. This thesis provides national level empirical data showing declines in hepatitis C incidence among gay and bisexual men, including those with HIV and those prescribed pre-exposure prophylaxis to prevent HIV. While declines in incidence are encouraging, it is suggested that a renewed focus on hepatitis C testing among gay and bisexual men is warranted to sustain this given evidence of sub-optimal and declining hepatitis C testing in recent years.
