The present thesis reports on the development of the ‘Time to ACT! protocol, a culturally-adapted Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) based protocol for Malaysian adolescents. The present thesis also investigates the feasibility and acceptability of the ‘Time to ACT!’ as a stress and anxiety prevention program for Malaysian adolescents. The study applies a three-phase cultural adaptation model in developing, validating and testing the current ‘Time to ACT!’ program. The emerging findings from this study intend to contribute valuably to literature, clinical practices and research on effective prevention programs in the Malaysian context.
