Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is an important biological signalling molecule, but its malodorous and gaseous nature has limited its application as a therapeutic agent. This thesis explores new strategies to administer H2S in pursuit of a delivery system which can be used to harness its full therapeutic potential.
