Asset owners and managers of infrastructures decide on adopting structural health monitoring (SHM) to guide their decisions regarding infrastructure management. The choice of SHM strategy should be driven by the benefits it is likely to give throughout a structure's service life. Value of Information (VoI) is a framework based on Bayesian preposterior analysis for quantifying SHM benefits. In this dissertation, a comprehensive VoI framework is proposed to quantify SHM benefits. This comprehensive framework incorporates all the necessary influential parameters such as model errors and biases, as well as the industrial practice of tiered approaches to structural analysis, assessment, and measurement.
