This thesis examines how in-hospital delay in coronary intervention may impact the outcomes among those who suffer from severe heart attacks. It identifies the non-linear effect of such delay on patient outcomes and pointed to areas where improvement may have the most impact. The works in the thesis also provide a glance on this dimension of care in Malaysia and offer the opportunity to critically reflect on the complex issues around the current states of coronary intervention timeliness under a developing country setting.
