A Metadata Driven Approach for Assessing Stability And Reusability of Software Systems

thesis
posted on 2022-10-17, 02:00 authored by Bilal Mehboob
Measuring and estimating the reusability of software components are important steps toward finding reusable candidates. Reuse of software components can aid in the reduction of development cost of new software, or maintenance of existing ones. This research proposes a technique to leverage on process and product-related metadata of the analyzed software to assess its stability, and subsequently, comprehend the reusability of software at the class-level. Ultimately, the proposed technique can aid in providing a better understanding of the ease of reuse for software systems, and also can be used as a tool to assess its overall quality.
