A Holistic Understanding of Conflicts during the Enterprise Resource Planning Change Process: A Dialectic Perspective

posted on 2017-07-04, 05:15 authored by MUSLEH ALSULAMI
This doctoral study investigates conflicts during ERP change process from a dialectic perspective. A major motivation of this study thus arises from the recognition that a high level of risk is generally associated with the ERP change process. This is due to three reasons: a) limited understanding and experience in supporting the ERP change process, b) highly complex and risky involvement of multiple ERP stakeholders who have contrasting expectations, and c) inherent ERP conflicts in the ERP change process plus roles ERP stakeholders play in conflict situations, which are not well documented in the existing ERP literature.
