In the current data rich environment, relatively little work has been done to design a holistic approach to perform data generalization, sequence capturing, data integration and prediction, while the human neocortex has the capability to achieve all of these functions as a whole. For this reason, the human neocortex is used as a biological inspiration for this research. The research has developed a novel brain inspired model for data generalization, sequence capturing and data integration, which can then be used for predicting future events and for predicting missing aspects in the input data.
