A Case Study of the Introduction of iPads at an Australian K–12 School

thesis
posted on 2022-03-15, 21:37 authored by JANELLE CHRISTINE HILL
Technology is increasingly used in educational settings in many parts of the world. In this study, the introduction and utilisation of iPads in an Australian K–12 school was investigated. Due to a lack of leadership, iPads were poorly integrated by teachers and not well received by students. It is recommended that the introduction of devices such as iPads should be accompanied by a robust justification and plan, relevant professional development, and consideration of the views of teachers and students. These recommendations have been incorporated into The Model for Effective iPad Integration.
