This report contains information on the location and characteristics of cultural places and objects in the Gippsland Lakes region of GunaiKurnai Country. Information on places and objects was sourced from the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Register (VAHR), with permission from the GunaiKurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation and under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the GunaiKurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation and Monash University. This information is confidential between the parties collaborating on the Buchan Valley and Gippsland Lakes Cultural Mapping project. The site location information in this report should not be shared without consultation with the research partners: GunaiKurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation, Parks Victoria, and Monash University.
