BehaviourWorks Australia has been
engaged to provide behavioural insights and guidance to support the development
of the Monash Microgrid. This study aims to identify potential behaviours from occupants
that might need to be managed, or encouraged, during peak times when energy use
needs to be reduced.
The following sections describe the
research methodology utilized in this study, presents the main results of data
collection and analysis, and makes a series of recommendations to support the
roll-out of the Monash Microgrid, and the control of building temperatures during
times of peak demand.
