Developing a Knowledge Hub for Consumer and Community Involvement

<div>Strengthening consumer and community involvement (CCI)</div><div>in health and medical research and healthcare improvement</div><div>is a priority for the Australian Health Research Alliance</div><div>(AHRA), encompassing the ten NHMRC-accredited Advanced Health Research Translation Centres and Centres for Innovation in Regional Health.</div><div><br></div><div>In 2018, a set of recommended priority actions to</div><div>strengthen consumer and community involvement was</div><div>established through a multi-step process, including: an</div><div>environmental scan of relevant literature and the work of</div><div>leading international and national agencies; an Australia-wide survey to capture the extent and nature of consumer</div><div>and community involvement across AHRA member</div><div>organisations; a national workshop to review the findings</div><div>from the environmental scan and survey and develop a</div><div>program of work.</div>
