Her Honour recounts the historical events which contributed to the Eureka Uprising of 1854. Her Honour discusses John Joseph’s trial in detail and analyses the witness examination proceeding that took place at that trial. Her Honour also summarises the arguments advanced by the defence at the trial. Finally, Her Honour comments on the wider significance of the Eureka Treason Trials, noting the importance of the jury system.
